Bigger bats? bigger balls? no BIGGER time, from Thursday 14th September there will be a second session of table tennis starting at 1100 hrs for 2 hours every Thursday at Red Triangle/Y.M.C.A. building in Walton, see the Table Tennis page under Groups for more info.
This is an easy going, friendly group to get a little exercise and make friends.

We need your help to make the Frinton Scarecrow Festival even bigger and even better.
Frinton & Kirby Scout Group are hosting a community event on The Triangle aimed at bringing together all ages and elements of Tendring District. Whether you are a business, organisation, group or family, all are welcome.
The idea is simple – make a scarecrow to display on the day. If you wish to accompany your scarecrow to promote or fundraise for your own organisation you are very welcome.
Whether you wish to take the opportunity to represent your own organisation or just support us in our efforts, every scarecrow, however, big, small, traditional or quirky will go towards making the 1st of July a special community day. If you wish to give your scarecrow a royal feel for the Coronation year, be our guest. Please give us a call to discuss the details – we want to give your scarecrow all the tender, loving care it deserves.
On the 29 April, our Social Team organised a Rock ‘n’ Roll evening at McGrigor Hall. Over 50 attendees enjoyed a wonderful time dancing to ‘Reloaded’, a live band playing 50/60’s hits. Photos are displayed above.

It would suggest we should have groups in these areas, we would love to facilitate a group for any of these subjects – would you join or lead it?
We already have sewcial sewing, music playing and country dancing so we’re not doing too badly, but you can always start more groups.
We are looking for help please, we need:
an Archivist – to maintain the documents we save in an online system.
a Publicity Officer – to handle all publicity actions for the u3a and get us out there.
and a couple of Safety Officers – to help the groups co-ordinator in particular and the committee in general.
We are a new u3a started at the beginning of 2023, hoping to interest new members in Frinton, Walton and the surrounding area.
We are a group of like minded people with a little (or a lot) of time to exchange ideas, knowledge and exercise in a fun and friendly way.
